Dr. Mark Warschauer has asked me to edit the distribution list Papyrus News (PN) at the University of California from here in Japan. About 1,500 ESL/EFL teachers and scholars in other fields around the world subscribe. Two or three times a week I plan to send out gathered Web resources, news articles, academic opportunities, and ideas on distance education and the topics Mark has indicated: technology in education, literacy, language learning/use, human/social development, culture, and equity.
